The 9th Cliff Barstow Jig Competition, Spa Foyer, Whitby, Tuesday 20th August 2024
The Cliff Barstow jig competition, now in its ninth year, was set up as a memorial to Cliff, a founder member of White Rose Morris, father and grandfather of active members Ned and Joe Barstow.
Cliff’s dancing was old-school Cotswold Morris – economical, straightforward and graceful – and these are the qualities that we are encouraging and looking for in the Jig competition.
The 2024 competition took place in the Spa Foyer, Whitby on Tuesday, 20th August at 4.30pm. This year’s winner was Ollie Simons of Peterborough Morris. More pictures and videos will be posted here soon.
